Glaze A glaze is a basic decorative finish that coats and covers thinly. It may be applied to all architectural detail within the home. At Pattern, we mainly glaze walls, ceilings, niches, trim, cabinetry, and antiglypta wall coverings. Glaze is primarily used for definition to detail or antiquing. Glaze is tinted with colorants to customize your finish. We may use metallic colorants to create french washes. In addition, it may be applied in multiple layers to add depth and color. Lastly, it may be applied using specialty brushes to make strias, linens, chambrays, and stippled leather finishes.
